You’ll find San Telmo on the most westerly point of Mallorca, just a 45 minute drive from Palma, away from the tourist masses! Individual travellers especially have discovered the charm of this little coastal village: San Telmo is surrounded by an overwhelming mountainous landscape, nowhere on the island will you find sunsets as exiting as they are here.
San Telmo has two supermarkets and good restaurants and bars.There is a bus service between San Telmo and Palma a few times a day. The best way to discover the island of Mallorca is by rental car. If you like we can organise a car for you that is ready at the airport at your arrival. For groups a transfer from the airport to San Telmo can be organised.

Hikes
San Telmo is an ideal starting point for hiking. It is at the start of the famous GR211 route along the length of the island through the Tramantana mountains, said to be some of the most spectacular walking in Europe. About one and a half hours walk from San Telmo, along a beautiful coastal trail, is the first way point. Sa Trapa, an abandoned 18th century Trappist monastery in a breathtaking setting. Easier and only half an hour away is El Torre, a watch tower, one of a system of lookouts around the coast, built to warn of raiding Barbary pirates. It’s believed that pirates used the small harbour on Dragonera as a staging port. The bustling port town Pto. Andratx is a fairly strenuous two and a half hour walk over the mountain but you can return by bus. Bookstores have plenty of guides for the region.
Excursions
During the season, a ferry runs between San Telmo and the uninhabited Island of Dragonera which was made a nature reserve in 1995. This is an excellent family trip with several walks to visit the lighthouses. The island is home to numerous bird and reptile species, some found nowhere else. Children will be thrilled by the islands very bold lizards. You can explore Mallorca in day trips starting from San Telmo.
