You’ll find San Telmo on the most westerly point of Mallorca, just a 45 minute drive from Palma, away from the tourist masses! Individual travellers especially have discovered the charm of this little coastal village: San Telmo is surrounded by an overwhelming mountainous landscape, nowhere on the island will you find sunsets as exiting as they are here. San Telmo has two supermarkets and good restaurants and bars.There is a bus service between San Telmo and Palma a few times a day. The best way to discover the island of Mallorca is by rental car. If you like we can organise a car for you that is ready at the airport at your arrival. For groups a transfer from the airport to San Telmo can be organised.
Hiking
San Telmo is an ideal starting point for hiking. The mountains and coast invite you for many scenic walks. If you are interested in Mallorca’s history, you can visit various well conserved historical buildings in breathtaking environments. “La Trappa” for example; an abandoned monastery from the 18th century, that you can reach in one and a half hours walk. Or an old watch tower that you reach after a walk of half an hour. In between wild goats you’ll walk to the little harbour town Puerto Andraitx in two and a half hours time.In the bookshop you can find books and tourist’s map specifically for our region.
Excursions
In the main season there are daily boat trips from San Telmo to the uninhabited Island of Dragonera . Dragonera was declared as a nature reserve in 1985. The island now is a sanctuary for various birds and reptiles.Scuba Activa would be pleased to help you in organising one of your excursions.
Other Activities
Besides diving San Telmo also offers you activities like painting and photography courses, kayak tours, sailing, cycling, surfing, riding and golf.
